Frequently Asked Questions
About LearnAktis Services
What exactly is learning evaluation, and why do I need it?
Learning evaluation is the systematic assessment of how well your learning programs achieve their intended outcomes. It goes beyond measuring completion rates to understand what’s actually working, what’s not, and why. Most organizations invest significant resources in learning programs without knowing if they’re effective. Evaluation helps you optimize your investment and improve learner outcomes.
How is LearnAktis different from other learning consultants?
LearnAktis combines rigorous academic research with practical application. Tina at LearnAktis has a PhD in Technology-Enhanced Learning (Digital Learning) and over a decade of hands-on experience evaluating programs across universities, startups, and public institutions. The approach at LearnAktis is evidence-based, culturally aware, and focused on the human elements that make learning truly effective, something increasingly important in our AI-driven world.
Can’t good content and expert instructors ensure a successful learning program?
Unfortunately, no. We have seen many programs with excellent content and highly experienced instructors that still fail to deliver effective learning experiences. Subject matter expertise and learning design expertise are different skills. Even the most knowledgeable instructor needs proper learning design to help participants truly integrate and apply new knowledge.
What are the most common problems you see in professional development programs?
The most frequent issues include: lack of clear learning objectives and needs, poor material organization and delivery timing, inadequate support for hybrid/online participants, limited engagement strategies, insufficient practice opportunities, and missing feedback mechanisms. Many programs also find it challenging to maintain focus during discussions and managing diverse learning preferences.
What types of organizations do you work with?
We work with universities and educational institutions, corporate L&D teams, NGOs and foundations, and individual educators and trainers. Whether you’re implementing microcredentials, optimizing corporate training, or transitioning from face-to-face to online teaching, LearnAktís can help.
How do you handle hybrid learning challenges?
Hybrid learning requires intentional design to ensure both in-person and online participants have equal access to quality learning experiences. We help organizations address common issues like audio/visual clarity, participation equity, material accessibility, and engagement strategies that work for both modalities.
Do you only work with German organizations?
Not at all! While we are based in Berlin, we serve organizations globally. We work in English, Greek, and can consult German programs in English, and have experience across different cultural contexts.
